FAMILY FUN DAY - CHELSEA, MI - ANNUAL FUNDRAISING EVENT

With help from family, friends, local businesses, the Dexter community and surrounding area, we built most of our games for an annual fundraising event. Family Fun Day was established in remembrance of a dear friend to many in the Dexter community. Joel passed away unexpectedly without life insurance in a tragic car accident on his way to work the morning of October 1st, 2008.

The fundraising event was organized to establish an educational fund for the four surviving children of our dear friend, Joel C. Cleary - Lusk. The whole community pulled together to support the family in their time of need. Friends and family coordinated a coin collection drive, benefit dinners, and golf outings. Then we decided to organize a fun annual event that would bring everyone together to remember and celebrate Joel's life.

The 1st Annual Family Fun Day was held on August 13th, 2011. Fun Day Rentals was established immediately following this event to help other families and local organizations. We continued to build and accumulate more games and host the annual event for five consecutive years. The 5th Annual Family Fun Day was held on July 11th, 2015. We couldn't have accomplished this without the support of such a wonderful heartfelt community. Special thanks to all the volunteers, sponsors and participants over the years.
